Answer:

Possible solution: If you have had evony open for a while (more than an hour or two), the game begins to lag your browser. What you can do is close out of the browser, clear your private data, and relogin, and it should fix your lagging problem. I If that doesn't work, it may be evony's servers or your internet.

When used ( with an available spot for a hero in Feasting hall) You acquire a hero with the specifications listed on it. ( for example it might say lvl 25-30 with stats between 70-80)

Answer:

Cents can be acquired a number of ways. Real money is the best way to get them but isnt the only way. You get 15 i believe when you first start an account and i remember a quest gave me 5 at some point.

You can also get them from the Aries Amulet ( though while the page calls it 'Ares' it actually changes each month,I.E Gemini for may)

there isnt a way to trade cents. Nor can i recall any quest that REQUIRED cents. ive seen some where Perhaps it might make it faster but not required it. Please let me know what quest hes doin that requires cents... id like to know.

Answer:

Yes you can. Put extra resources on your troops( transporters work good for this) and send them to the players town via Transport. I dont think you can do this with just anyone tho.. might just be alliance members but not sure.

city teleporter - how does it work

i have 2 cities and two city teleporters. i am based in bavaria and i am a member of alliance jay&liz. unfortunately there are no other alliace members based near me. 2 questions: 1}would i have to use both city teleporters to move both my cities and 2}would my cities end up close together, as they are now, or could they end up 20-30 miles apart

To answer your questions: 1: Yes you need one teleporter per city, please remember to be IN that city when you teleport it.. i accidently teleported the same city 2x and had to go buy ANOTHER teleporter to get the job done :(

2: It depends on the type of teleporter you use. The basic one will place you randomly.. your more likely to be quite far apart but you might end up nearer too. The ADV teleporter lets you choose any available flat you want so you can pick where you want them and put them plenty close together.. the downside being price.

REFUGE

Answer:

If you have insufficient upkeep it means you dont have enough food for your troops. you need to make more farms/upgrade farms. Also i believe that when troops are out defending valleys they eat more food but never heard if it was true.

It is correct. When reinforcing an allied town, or reinforcing a valley, your army eats twice as much as normal.

Cities ==> Flats?

My question isn't too big, but I noticed that a city which was previously above me is now a flat. It was a newb just out of protection, with no prestige. Is there a reason for this?

Also, I'm going away on a trip sometime soon, so would this disappearing of the city happen to mine as well?

Answer:

Towns that are below 10k prestige that are inactive for 7 days are automatically deleted by evony. Im not sure on the exact amounts for higher prestige, but its more than 7 days.

Answer:

You can't build more units at a time than you have resources for. When your barracks shows that you can only make a certain amount of units, it's just letting you know that you don't have the resources for more than that number of that unit.

You must figure out what troops are good for taking out whatever the other city has, for example, if the city has 500 archer towers, then you will want 5000 archers.

Answer:

No you do not have to get rid of all the defenses. If you can leave the abatis there, you will gain those abatis when you conquer the town as defense of your own. Same go for traps. If you take over the town with ballistae only, you will gain the leftover traps as defense of the new town.

Answer:

As far as i know, the gates do not open. I have only lowered a city to 15, so i do not know if it will open at a lower point than that. I believe they open at 5 or 10 loyalty though. My alliance mate said he learned that the hard way haha.

its 5 loyal. after you get a city down to 15 loyal further hits against it have no point, the city will decrease further in loyal by 1 every 6 minutes, as soon as it hits 5 the gates are opened and the garrison joins any fights. This is also the moment that a city become conquerable provided you have space for an other city, and your target is not the last city an enemy player owns.

Exercise at rally point says i'd win a battle but i got crushed??

I attacked a level 4 swamp that had 250 warriors and 99 pikemen with an army of 150 archers but got smoked? When i checked my numbers with "exercise" at the rally point it says i should have won with no casualties!

The only thing I can see is the defenders had a Lv 10 hero and I only had a Lv 6 hero for my side... can having a better hero affect a battle this much?

Answer:

The attack of a hero can play a huge role in a battle, but what is most likely the case here, is that Lv.4 valleys have all Lv.4 research for their troops. When you do exercises in the Rally Spot, both armies use the research that you currently have. So if you have a lower research that 4, your exercise will have been affected negatively.

Cannot build second city

I'm of a Knight rank and have my resources all above 10000 I also have 250 + workers

I earlier attacked a lvl 1 flat and started building a city on it after which I asked my soldiers to abandon the flat before the city was built

now the issue is that I cannot build a new second city at all even after re attacking the lvl 1 flat

are you sure you have the requsites, 250 worker and 10,000 of each resource, you may have lost your workers abandoning the city.

the percentage of casulties you reciece is dependent upon honor, if you have greater honor than your opponent you recieve a lower wounded percentage.

Refugee

Answer:

Refugee means your troops left you because you did not have enough food to feed them. You do not get them back, and for every set of refugees that leave, you get 1 Public Grievance, so be careful. Just make sure you have enough food to upkeep your army.

Wheel of fortune mixup

On my last spin of the Wheel of Fortune, I ended up getting some kind of war chest (I believe it was an icon with red and blue shields on it). Not really knowing what I was doing, I went to my items and opened the chest. Suddenly, I have 126 Ballista, 235 Battering Rams, and 190 Catapults--at an upkeep of 77,950 in food!!! I started this game today, and I don't really don't have those kind of resources (my food earnings per hour right now say -75,133). I thought that you weren't able to employ troupes that you can't support? Will I just go continually further into debt? Is there any way I can get rid of these troupes? Thanks!

Answer:

You are so lucky, but so unfortunate at the same time. You received a Mechanics Battalion from the lotto. One item that i wish i could win. Unfortunately there is no way around your problem, unless you are able to keep your food up high enough until you can support those units. Catapults are the best units in the game, so try to keep them at all costs! There are three ways you can get rid of these units; Send them to their death, wait to run out of food, and they will leave as Refugees, or go to your barracks and next in the bottom right corner of the picture of the unit there is a red circle with a cross through it called "Dismiss", and you can send your units away. Sorry there are no better options!

taking over or deleting city

Question:

how can i take over or delete a city of an opponent? i want to get rid of him.

Answer:

You must first have an opening for a new town to even think about this. The way you do it is continuously attack their town until their loyalty drops down to 0, which then turns the city into your possession. Once it is in your possession you can go to your town hall of your main town and delete the newly conquered city from there, where the city will turn into an NPC. That is the only way to get rid of him.

Or in my opinion you could have read what it sai on the item before using it, and save it for when you were stronger... Jet222 Server 36

Answer:

Im not quite sure what your question is. Feel free to email me at lightning14321@hotmail.com if you are able to rephrase it.

Ticks cycle 10 times in an hour every 6 minutes to be exact, its the moment you get 1/6th of your hourly gold income, your loyal and population increases or decreases, and when npc's regenerate troops, ( this includes valleys ) You can find out your server's tick moment by paying close attention to your gold. The moment it jumps up is the minute your server ticks. If you plan to conquer a lvl 10 npc for instance, there is a tactic that allows you to as long as you stay within 1 tick. Ther are usefull for these things.

Attacking information

Is there any source that provides good info on the relative attacking results in head to hed fighting. For example, if 50 cavalry go up aginst 80 pikemen, or archrs going against archers. I know that technology affects the formular, but I'm wondering all other things being equal what are the expected resulte of different combinations. I'm asking because I thought the warriors would die first but in several valley fights that I won, none of my warriors were killed but half my archers and cavalry were killed.

Answer:

Your best option is going to your Rally Spot and selecting "Exercise". You can experiment with whatever you want. Just be warned that when you use this exercise, it gives both sides the research that You have, and not your opponent. (Remember that valleys have technology according to their level, so if you are attacking a Lv.5 valley, all technology for the troops will be Lv.5)

Items how to activate

Answer:

You use the On War item by going to your Feasting Hall, and selecting a hero and click view. Beside the experience bar (ex. 1252/8100) there is a green plus sign. Click that plus sign and it brings up a new window and you can select the On War from there.

For the dynamite, you have to select the building you want to be destroyed, and on the picture of the building there is a red circle with a cross through it at the bottom right. Click that and it has the option to destroy completely with dynamite. Click that and there you go. The building is completely demolished.

Adv. Tax Policy

Answer:

The Advanced Tax Policy does not affect the loyalty. All it does it double the gold you make per hour. So say your making 1,000 gold per hour right now. When you apply the Adv Tax Policy, you will make 2,000 gold per hour. If you change the loyalty to 100% and you used to make 15,000 gold, you will now make 30,000 gold. Hopefully that makes sense.

Bounty List and Rewards

I love the Bounty lists idea. But How do you claim/receive a reward (I don't mean contact info) if you are not in the same alliance as the person giving the reward. As I understand it, you can only transport resources to other alliance members. How to you transport resources to non-alliance members to get that reward??

Thats a good question. As far as i know, the only way to transport resources to another player is if they are in your alliance. I believe you just found the flaw of the Bounty List idea. Sorry i couldnt be of any help.

How to hit the jackpot on "Wheel of Fortune"?

I noticed the other day that there are a ton of people who win jackpot type prizes in succession, when watching the headlines pop up. One person played 3 consecutive amulets, and won a jackpot on each. There is a stop botton on the wheel; but it never seems to work when I click it. Is there a trick to getting better results, or to actually get the wheel to stop when you want it to? If so, when should you hit the stop button?

Answer:

Unfortunately, the only reason they are getting 3 good prizes in a row is because they are extremely lucky and had a lot of amulets to spend. The stop button does not stop the spinner, its just there for some reason of which i do not know. The wheel is solely based on luck from when you hit 'Apply' for the amulet.

I stand corrected: "You basically said there is no reason for the STOP button on the wheel. The stop button is there for when you use multiple amulets (to spin the wheel automatically for the given amount) and want to stop it from doing in automatically."

Advanced City Teleporter

Answer:

When you use the teleporter; you will not lose your resource fields, you will lose your valleys, and you will not lose your troops. The only other downside to using an adv city teleporter is you will not be able to send troops from that town for 24 hours.

Answer:

To answer your first question; It will not cause any problems to have both of you using the same computer, on two separate accounts. You can even be logged onto both at the same time, and it will run just fine. To answer your second question; You need to ask evony itself this question, and not on this wiki. When you go to www.evony.com, before you log in, look at the top and there is a link for payment or contact or something. Follow those instructions and you will get your answer from there.

Answer: You've probably reached 256,000, by now. So you have one more. The quests for prestige end at 512,000. They do not go to 1 mil.

Technology levels when reinforcing an ally - case study

When reinforcing an ally with different technology levels, which level will the reinforcing army have?

E.g. Player A reinforce city X, owned by B. A has archery lvl 10, B has archery lvl 9. Which level archery will the troops have? Will all of them have archery 9, or the reinforcing ones will keep their archery level 10? Is there a difference if a hero is sent with the troops?

Archimedie's Note

My server is 63t

In my items list, howdo I apply the archimedies note? It will not give me an "apply" button to press.

Answer

The Archimede's Note is actually a "speed up". It is used to speed up the process of making fortified units. For example: An archer's tower or a trap is a fortified unit. These are found under the wall upgrade. Once you have started building one of these fortified units, you can choose to "speed it up" and then it will give you the option of using the Archimede's Note.

Abandoned Players

How long does it take for a player's city to either decay away or turn into an NPC when the player no longer plays Evony? I have a city near mine that has been abandoned for weeks and since it is the only city the player has I can not conquer it. Thanks in advance

If they have over 5,000 prestige it will take 60 days of inactivity for their account to be deleted. 3 days if they have 0 prestige. - Faar

Holy water

What is Holy Water for and how do I use it?

Holy water is an item that is needed to "rearrange" the talent points heroes get. You use them automatically when clicking this button in the hero screen. Rearrange always takes 1 holy water, and after that 1 more per 5 levels. ( eg lvl 1-5 1 holy water, 6-10 2 holy water, etc ) The effect of this is that the hero is defaulted back to his base lvl 1 stats, with all talentpoints available to spend in whatever tree you like.

Hero Reward Books

There are several book that come off of the wheel. They say they are for hero advancement, but when you look at rewarding a hero they aren't listed. They also have no "apply" button. How do I use these books?

In your feasting hall click View button besides the hero you want to use them on. In the hero screen look up the experience bar, there is a green plus next to it, Clicking that one will give you the option to "use" the book on the hero granting him the experience.

Through the "reward" button more to the bottom of the screen you can also reward books to hero's in this case the experience IS NOT granted, yet instead they hero will get a loyality boost.

When you are on the Hero Page, there is a Green + Button to the right of the Experience Points. Click it and you will see the Apply Menu. Choose the book you wish to apply to the Hero. Imper1um 11:55, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

I have conquered 2 valleys. Do I have to leave my troops there? How do I start using the resources from those valleys? Can I build on the valleys so I do not have to leave my troops there?

Answer: The extra resorces will automaticaly come from the valley. You can keep your troops there, but if you are being attacked, they wont be there to defend your city and they eat double the amount of food while defending...

Rose Medals

Well, i want to have rose medals, a level 3 flat? can i get rose medals from it? I have another question, let's say it takes 2m51s to attack the level 3 flat, it also takes 2m51s to return, but if i have only 7 heroes and only 20 seconds between the attacks it is quite impossible to have 30 attacks successively; the time the 7th attack is over, 1st attackers have not still returned. what should I do in this case? even if i have 9 heroes, there will be the same problem.

Valley type evolution

I know that valleys change levels over time and I am pretty sure they change types. Is there a set schedule for this? For example, do valleys evolve from flat level 1-10 then to forest level 1-10 then to desert level 1-10? Also, do the valleys level up once per day? More often or less often?

No, they stay the same type but they do lvl up when the evony staff does maintenance. And if the lvl is 10, after maintenance it will go back to lvl 1.

Teleport while construction/training/research/fortification is in progress

When I teleport from one province to another, should the city in question have 0 activity? I am referring to training, research, construction and fortification.

I.e. When I teleport the City, will I lose the funds invested while the activity is halted, or will the activity carry-on as if nothing has happened?

Answer: There is a "capacity limit" on the amount of a resource that can be produced (as opposed to gathering through transport, farming NPCs or raiding another player). If you bring your mouse over the resource box it will tell you the Capacity Limit as well as your Net Production. -LordEE 3/20/2010

valley conquering/food production

my basic food production is at about 85000 but my troops consume 76k of that. so itried to conquer a valley to increase my food production. however, when i did this, my food production dipped to -10k. why ? Back To Top

Answer: After conquering the valley, you probably did not recall your troops. They do not come back automatically and if they "camp" there, they use more resources than if they are stationed in your city. One way to recall is to click on the valley and the "Enter" button, from this panel you can recall your troops. -LordEE 3/20/2010

If a player has one city and his/her loyalty is zero, the city will not "die" until three days of inactivity. If the player happens to log in within the three days since the loyalty reached "zero" and the public grievance is high, then the player is not dead. The Evony staff will delete the account if the player does not sign in after three days of the "blow". (This was acquired from the administrators from the Evony Forums.) when you first start DONT promote yourself stay Civilian/Civilian you gain higher prestige with the low rank, and build as much as you can troops buildings, farming gaining valleys

Under what conditions will a city riot? For some reason I thought loyalty had to be under 15, but I had a city sitting at loyalty 20 for awhile and got the "city rioting - incompetent administration" message and accompanying lost resources penalty.

LordEE, riots occur can occur when loyalty is low and/or public grievance is high. Riots usually occur rapidly in the 10's. Loyalty under 15 will get riots in a certain time. Loyalty 20 and up have lower chances.

You can CHANGE your name and profile picture (of the same gender) however with a New ID which costs 200 game coins. Yes. If they have no troops there all you need to do is send 1 troop to attack it and you will conquer it.

Reinforcing a fellow alliance member

I would like to know why when I am reinforcing someone it comes up with inefficent space when I want to send 100k archer. I end up having to send pikemen along with them them to make sure the load it in the positive instead of negative. Why does it say this, other people seem to have no other problems with reinforcing the full amount (100k) of archers.
